Removing rear angle sensor for headlight levelling system
1. Hold intermediate link on rotary lever with second open-ended wrench and screw off fastening nut.
2. Push back rubber cover -1- over the electrical plug connection, release electrical plug connection and remove connector from angle sensor.
3. Unscrew fastening screw -3- for securing retaining bracket for angle sensor, combination wire and brake line to the body.
4. Unscrew the two fastening screws -2- and remove angle sensor from bracket.
Installing rear angle sensor for headlight levelling system
INFORMATION: If the angle sensor has been replaced, the front end control unit must be calibrated; afterwards the headlight setting must be checked and adjusted if necessary.
1. Secure angle sensor to retaining bracket with the two fastening screws -2-.
2. Position retaining bracket with angle sensor on the body and screw down with the fastening screw -3-.
3. Engage electrical plug connection and pull rubber cover carefully over the plug connection (protects against water leaking in).
4. Engage intermediate link on rotary lever and secure with fastening nut. - Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work - rear angle sensor for headlight levelling system
INFORMATION: If the angle sensor has been replaced, the front end control unit must be calibrated; afterwards the headlight setting must be checked and adjusted if necessary.
1. Connect the Porsche System Tester PIWIS Tester 9718 to the vehicle and start the System Tester. Switch on ignition. >> to continue.
2. Select front end on the control unit, carry out calibration menu.
3. Check headlight setting and adjust if necessary.
