Removing and Installing Drive Belt
Removing and installing drive belt
Preliminary Work
1. Remove air cleaner housing.
Removing drive belt
1. Mark the running direction of the drive belt (with a paint marker, for example) if you intend to reuse it.
Drive belt routing
2. Unscrew three outer Torx screws (M8 x 12) -Arrows- on the hydraulic pump pulley by approx. half a turn.

3. Relieve the drive belt at the tensioning roller.

4. Remove the drive belt at the deflection roller under the generator.
5. Allow the belt tensioner to slide back to its initial position.
Information
^ Only remove the power-steering pump wheel when the drive belt is completely relieved.
6. Unscrew three outer Torx screws (M8 x 12) on the pulley and remove the pulley.

7. Guide the drive belt past the engine carrier and out of the engine compartment.
Installing drive belt
1. Guide the drive belt past the blade and into the engine compartment.

2. Fit hydraulic pump pulley using three outer Torx screws (M8 x 12).
3. Pre-position drive belt on the pulley and tensioning and deflection rollers.
4. Tighten the outer Torx screws (M8 x 12) -Arrows- on the pulley.

5. Turn the belt tensioner clockwise as far as it will go -Arrow- and at the same time place the drive belt over the deflection roller under the generator.

6. Allow the belt tensioner to slide back slowly into tensioning position.
7. Tighten the outer Torx screws (M8 x 12) on the pulley. - Tightening torque: 23 Nm (117 ftlb.)
Information
^ It is absolutely necessary to check that the drive belt is correctly seated on all pulleys.
8. Check belt routing and position.
Subsequent Work
1. Install air cleaner housing.
