Oil Pressure Sender: Service and Repair


Removing and installing oil-pressure sender

Oil-pressure sender (view for turbo engine)

1 - Oil-pressure sender
2 - Torx screws, M6 x 20
3 - Intake air line, 4-6

Preliminary Work

1. Remove pressure pipe.
2. Remove throttle housing.
3. Remove air conditioning compressor (without opening the air-conditioning system). Place compressor on a base in the engine compartment and secure using tie-wrap.

Removing oil-pressure sender

1. Remove oil-pressure sender.
1.1. Pull off cable plug from sender.
1.2. Unscrew Torx screws (M6 x 20) and remove oil-pressure sender -1-.

The screws are accessible via the intake-air distributor on side 4-6.

Installing oil-pressure sender

1. Replace sealing ring at oil-pressure sender.
2. Install oil-pressure sender.
2.1. Fit oil-pressure sender -1- with two Torx screws (M6 x 20) and tighten screws.

The screws are accessible via the intake-air distributor on side 4-6.

- Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

2.2. Connect cable plug to sender.

Subsequent Work

1. Fit air-conditioning compressor.
2. Install throttle housing.
3. Install pressure pipe.
