Removing And Installing Rear Lid

Removing rear lid

Disconnecting wiring harness on rear lid







1. Open the rear lid.







2. Unclip the wiring harness.
3. Press -arrow A- the lug of the electrical plug connection -1- and separate it -arrow B-.

Detaching wire harness on rear right pneumatic spring







1. Open rear lid.
2. Open the wiring duct -Arrow A- and take out the line -Arrow B-.







Removing rear lid







1. A second person should hold the rear lid -2- to prevent it falling shut.







2. Undo fastening screws -1-.
3. Remove rear lid -2-.

Installing rear lid







1. Mount the rear lid -2- with the help of a second person.







2. Screw in the fastening screws -1- until they just make contact.
3. Adjust rear lid. Refer to Adjusting rear lid - adjusting
4. Tighten fastening screws M6 x 16 -1-. Tightening torque: 7.1 ftlb.

Securing wire harness on rear right pneumatic spring







1. Place wire harness in the wiring duct -Arrow A- and close the wiring duct -Arrow B- until the locking lugs are felt to engage.







Locking wiring harness on rear lid







1. Push together electrical plug connection -1- -arrow A- until locking tab is felt to engage.







2. Clipping wiring harness into place.
