Removing And Installing Front Luggage Compartment Trim Panel

Removing front luggage compartment trim panel

Removing front luggage compartment trim panel (luggage compartment pan)







INFORMATION: Only for USA/Canada version vehicles.

1. Remove front emergency release. Refer to Removing and installing front emergency release.
2. Remove CD changer. Refer to Removing and installing CD changer.
3. Lift up cover for tool kit -1- at the front -Arrow A- and remove it in an upward direction -Arrow B-.







4. Unclip fixing clip -1- and screw off plastic nut -2- at the right and left.







5. Lift up the luggage compartment pan -1- and remove it.







Removing front luggage compartment trim panel (bulkhead)







1. Remove luggage compartment cover. Refer to Removing and installing front luggage compartment cover.

INFORMATION: Only for USA/Canada version vehicles.

2. Remove navigation unit. Refer to Removing and installing navigation unit.
3. Remove loudspeaker amplifier. Refer to Removing and installing loudspeaker amplifier.
4. Open cover for tyre repair system -1- (-Arrow A-) and remove it.







5. Remove tyre sealant -2- (-Arrow B-).

INFORMATION: When removing the bulkhead trim panel, make sure not to damage any wires or plug connections.

6. Loosen bulkhead trim panel -1- in -direction of arrow A- and lift it up and off -Arrow B-.







7. Unclip adapter for tyre repair system -1- (-Arrow A-) and remove it in a downward direction -Arrow B-.







8. Check clamp -2- and replace if necessary.

Removing foam parts for front luggage compartment

1. Remove tyre pressure compressor -1-, tool kit -2-, adapter for security wheel bolts -3- and towing lug -4- in an upward direction -arrows-.







2. Pull off foam part for CD autochanger -1- (-arrows-) and remove adhesive residue.

Only for vehicles with CD autochanger.







3. Pull off foam part for bulkhead -1- (-arrows-).







4. Take control unit for cornering light out of the foam part -1- and remove adhesive residue.
5. Pull off foam part for luggage compartment liner/tool kit -1- (-arrow-) and remove adhesive residue.







6. Loosen foam part for front compressor -1- using a spatula and pull it off -arrow A-. Remove adhesive residue.







7. Loosen foam part for rear compressor -2- using a spatula and pull it off -arrow B-. Remove adhesive residue.

Installing front luggage compartment trim panel

Installing foam parts for front luggage compartment

INFORMATION: Keep bonding areas clean and free of grease.

1. Apply body sealant to the foam part for the front compressor -1- and stick it on -arrow A-.







2. Apply body sealant to the foam part for the rear compressor -2- and stick it on -arrow B-.
3. Apply body sealant to the foam part for the luggage compartment liner/tool kit -1- and stick it on -arrow-.







4. Fit control unit for cornering light into the foam part for the bulkhead -1-.







5. Apply body sealant to the foam part for the bulkhead -1- and stick it on -arrows-.
6. Pull off protective film and stick on foam part for CD autochanger -1- (-arrow-).

Only for vehicles with CD autochanger.







7. Place tyre pressure compressor -1-, towing lug -4-, tool kit -2- and adapter for security wheel bolts -3- into the luggage compartment -arrows-.







Installing front luggage compartment trim panel (bulkhead)

1. Press in adapter for tyre repair system -1- in direction of arrow until it clicks into place.







2. Insert bulkhead trim panel -1- (-Arrow A-) and align it -Arrow B-.







3. Insert tyre sealant -2- (-Arrow A-) and close cover of tyre repair system -1- (-Arrow B-).







4. Install luggage compartment cover. Refer to Removing and installing front luggage compartment cover.

INFORMATION: Only for USA/Canada version vehicles.

5. Install navigation unit. Refer to Removing and installing navigation unit.
6. Install loudspeaker amplifier. Refer to Removing and installing loudspeaker amplifier.

Installing front luggage compartment trim panel (luggage compartment pan)

1. Insert and align luggage compartment pan -1-.







2. Press in fixing clip -1- and screw on plastic nut -2- at the right and left.







3. Insert cover for tool kit -1- into the luggage compartment in -direction of arrow A, B-.







4. Install CD changer. Refer to Removing and installing CD changer.

5. Install front emergency release. Refer to Removing and installing front emergency release.
