Removing And Installing Spoiler Drive

Technical values







Preliminary work

1. Remove rear spoiler. Refer to Removing and installing rear spoiler.
2. Remove rear lid. Refer to Removing and installing rear lid.
3. Remove engine-compartment light. Refer to Removing and installing bulb for engine-compartment light.

Removing spoiler drive







NOTICE: Fastening screws securing pump unit to bracket become loose
- Risk of irreparable damage to pump unit
- Do not unscrew the fastening screws used to secure the pump unit to the bracket.
- The bracket cannot be replaced. In the event of damage, replace the pump unit.







1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove pump unit -2-.







2. Unclip the wire harness using a plastic wedge -Arrow A- and remove it -Arrow B-.







3. Pull off connector on auxiliary brake light. Refer to Removing and installing auxiliary brake light.
4. Unscrew fastening screws -1- on both sides and remove the two hydraulic cylinders together with the pump unit.







Installing spoiler drive







1. Insert the two hydraulic cylinders together with the pump unit. Place hydraulic cylinders in installation position and secure with fastening screws -1-. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)







2. Clip in wire harness.







3. Connect connector on auxiliary brake light. Refer to Removing and installing auxiliary brake light.
4. Fit pump unit -2- and screw in fastening screws -1-. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)







Subsequent work

1. Install engine-compartment light. Refer to Removing and installing bulb for engine-compartment light.
2. Install rear lid. Refer to Removing and installing rear lid.
3. Install rear spoiler. Refer to Removing and installing rear spoiler.
