WM 430755 Replacing distributor (PDCC)

Preliminary work

1. Lift the vehicle. -> 4000V000 Lifting the vehicle
2. Remove engine guard. -> 108019 Removing and installing engine guard 108019 Removing and installing engine guard (underbody panelling)


Replacing distributor

Information

Exercise extreme care when loosening the screws on the distributor so as not to damage the two mounting points on the distributor (front-axle final drive).

Only loosen the two mounting points and the three lines on the distributor. The side stopper must not be opened.

Use correct tightening torques.

If coolant hoses come into contact with Pentosin, thoroughly clean them with water IMMEDIATELY.

If a component is replaced, the reservoir (PDCC) must always be replaced as well.

The engine must be switched off. (The pressure in the PDCC system is high when the engine is running.).
1. Use a suitable collecting container and carefully remove the lines -1, 2, 3- from the distributor.

2. Remove the distributor -4- from the front-axle final drive.
3. Fit the new distributor on the front-axle final drive and secure the lines by tightening them to the prescribed torque. -> 430755 Replacing distributor (PDCC) - section on "General warning notes"-> 4300TW Tightening torques


Subsequent work

1. Complete the following steps in sequence using the PIWIS System Tester by selecting PDCC ]] System replacement ]] Replace distributor [[. -> 4303AW Safety Requirements for Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) 4303AW Safety Requirements for Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC)
1.1. Set valve timing

1.3. Carry out a system test.
2. Fit engine guard. -> 108019 Removing and installing engine guard 108019 Removing and installing engine guard (underbody panelling)
