Diagnosis information - DME V8 DFI

Timing, bank 1

NOTE: The fault is detected if the currently measured camshaft angle deviates from the camshaft angle stored from the last drive.

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 9 V and 16 V
- Time after engine starts > 10 seconds

Possible fault causes
- Camshaft sensor loose
- Camshaft sensor, bank 1, not installed correctly
- Cylinder head cover incorrectly aligned
(first fit bar ignition modules on the spark plugs, then screw tight cylinder head covers)
- Engine repair carried out
- Timing incorrect (>>chain jump<<)
