- Drive for > 10 minutes:
- Vehicle speed max. 100 km/h (62 mph)
- Average vehicle speed 30 km/h ... 60 km/h (19 mph ... 37 mph)
- Average mass air flow < 70 kg/h ... 180 kg/h (depending on average speed)
- Overrun phases < 100 s in total

Possible fault causes
- Influence by engine-block heater
- Seal in thermostat housing faulty
- Thermostat housing faulty
- Thermostat faulty
- Coolant temperature sensor faulty or loose contact/corrosion on connectors or lines
