Diagnosis information - DME V8 DFI

Oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter, bank 2 - pumping voltage line

CAUTION: Risk of damage to oxygen sensors if additives are used.

- Do not use contact spray on the oxygen sensor plug connections, as this will cause irreparable damage to the lines (blockage of reference air duct).

NOTE: Do not interchange the oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter with the sensor behind the catalytic converter as this will result in implausible fault entries.

Diagnostic conditions
- Exhaust temperature > 200 °C (392 °F)
- Engine at operating temperature
- then drive for 2 minutes
- Drive through min. 1 overrun phase
- then engine idling > 30 seconds

Possible fault causes
- Open circuit, compensating current
- Oxygen sensor faulty
