Removing and Installing Wiring Harness For Rear-View Mirror
Removing And Installing Wiring Harness For Rear-view Mirror
Preliminary work
1. Remove rear-view mirror.
2. Remove mirror glass.
Installing Wiring Harness For Rear-view Mirror
1. Tie the wires for mirror heating -b- , flap -c- and positioning motor -d- together using fabric or insulating tape -A-.
2. Fold back wires for flap and positioning motor -arrow B- and secure to wiring harness with fabric or insulating tape -C-.
INFORMATION: To minimise the thickness of the cable, tighten the wires at different places on the wiring harness.
3. Slide the wiring harness for the mirror-heating wires from the inside through the mirror base -arrow A-.
4. Pull the wiring harness downwards -arrow B- , then up and out through the flap joint -arrow C-.
INFORMATION: When connecting the plug contacts, make sure the order of the wires is correct in the combination connector.
5. Insert the wires 1 - 7 for the positioning motor into the combination connector -arrow A- until the plug contacts are felt to engage.
6. Press in the fuse -arrows B- until you feel the locking tabs engage.
INFORMATION: The wires -10- and -11- are only available for vehicles that have a light in the rear-view mirror.
7. Insert the wires for the flap motor into the combination connector until the locking tabs of plug contacts -8 and 9- are felt to engage -arrows B-.
8. Insert the wires -10 and 11- until you feel the locking tabs engage.
9. Push the wiring through the mirror base -arrows A- and pull it out at the inside -arrow B-.
10. Connect the connector on the mirror adjusting motor -arrow- until the connector lock is felt to engage.
11. Push together plug connection for fold-in motor -arrows A- and press onto adhesive point of mirror holder -arrow B-.
12. Push plug connection together -arrows A- until the locking lug -arrow B- is felt to engage.
13. Insert the plug connection into the holder -arrow C- until it is felt to engage.
