Preliminary work

1. Remove design cover on bar ignition modules. -> 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover) on DFI engines - section on "Removing" 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover) on DFI engines

Removing hall sender

Information

- Replace all gaskets and O-rings.

- Use the lubricant Kluber Syntheso Glep (Part No. 000.043.204.68).

1. Disconnect connector on hall sender. To do so, push the button and remove.

2. Loosen fastening screw on hall sender and pull hall sender out carefully.

Installing hall senders (as of October 2008)

1. Fit the hall sender into the valve cover and tighten the fastening screw.

2. Slide on cable plug. The connector must engage audibly.
