Preliminary work for ATF cooler
1. Remove engine guard.
2. Remove front apron.
3. Loosen lock carrier.
Removing ATF cooler
1. Place oil collection pan under the ATF thermostat.
Warning
Danger of scalding and chemical burns from hot ATF
- Allow ATF to cool down
- Wear personal protective gear (goggles, gloves)
2. Unscrew ATF lines at the thermostat -arrow- and drain ATF.

3. Remove fastening clamps -1,2- on the rubber mountings for the coolant radiator and press it to the rear.

4. Remove rubber moulding on the coolant radiator.

5. Loosen ATF lines at the connection points -arrows- in front of the ATF cooler. Counter at the lock nuts.

6. Remove tab washers -arrow- -arrow- on the ATF cooler supports and remove ATF cooler.

Installing ATF cooler
Warning

1. Position ATF cooler on the supports at the coolant radiator and fit the tab washers.

2. Replace sealing rings -1- on the ATF lines.

3. Fit ATF lines at the connection points in front of the ATF cooler. The left line must be screwed on first, then the right. Counter at the end of the line for the ATF cooler while doing this.

4. Fit rubber moulding on the coolant radiator.

5. Press rubber mounting for coolant radiator into the brackets and fit the fastening clamps -1,2-.

6. Unscrew oil inspection plug -2- and fill in ATF until a constant discharge is visible at the lifting tube.

7. Screw in oil inspection plug -2-. - Tightening torque: 70 Nm (52 ftlb.)

Subsequent work
Subsequent work for ATF cooler
1. Fasten lock carrier.
2. Install front apron.
3. Check and if necessary, top up the ATF.
4. Fit engine guard.
