Removing And Installing Spray Nozzle For Headlight Washing System

Preliminary work
Removing front apron.

Removing spray nozzle for headlight washer system







1. Disengage cap on nozzle head.
1.1. Press out nozzle head -1- from the inside -arrow A- and hold it securely.







1.2. Disengage cap -2- at the latches on the nozzle head -1- ( -arrows B- ) and remove it.

2. Undo spray nozzle for headlight washer system at the front apron.
2.1. Release rapid-action coupling -1- ( -arrow A- ) and remove water hose -2- from the spray nozzle for the headlight washer system -3- ( -arrow B- ).







2.2. Unscrew fastening screws -4-.

3. Remove spray nozzle for headlight washer system.
3.1. Disengage spray nozzle for headlight washer system -1- with the clip in an upward direction out of the front apron -arrow A- and pull it out towards the back -arrow B-.







3.2. Swivel spray nozzle for the headlight washer system -1- out of the guide -arrow C- and remove it.

Installing spray nozzle for headlight washer system
1. Install spray nozzle for headlight washer system.
1.1. Insert spray nozzle for headlight washer system -1- into the guide and swivel it in -arrow A-.







1.2. Push spray nozzle for headlight washer system -1- into the front apron -arrow B- and engage with the clip -arrow C-.

2. Secure spray nozzle for headlight washer system on the front apron.
2.1. Secure spray nozzle for headlight washer system -3- with the fastening screws -4- on the front apron. - Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm (1.0 ftlb.)







2.2. Push water hose -2- onto spray nozzle for headlight washer system -3- ( -arrow- ) until the rapid-action coupling -1- engages audibly.

3. Engage cap on nozzle head.
3.1. Press out nozzle head -1- from the inside -arrow A- hold it securely.







3.2. Engage cap -2- at the latches on the nozzle head -1- ( -arrows B- ).

Subsequent work
1. Install front apron.
2. Bleed the spray nozzles. The system is bled by activating the spray nozzles for the headlight washer system several times. Depending on whether the left or right spray nozzle was removed, or whether the water reservoir for the headlight washer system was completely emptied or not, the bleeding process can require frequent actuation of the spray nozzle.
