Information

There are two different cutoff relays used on the Cayenne model year �06.

The mechanical cutoff relay has been installed up to vehicle ident. no. 9P6LA03709.

The pyrotechnical cutoff relay is installed as of vehicle ident. no. 9P6LA03710.

The drive link test is different, depending on which cutoff relay is installed.

With the mechanical cutoff relay, the cutoff relay must be activated again.

1. Lay line under the positive cables in the power distributor -arrow- and position cutoff relay in the power distributor.

2. Screw on both fastening nuts -arrows 4- on the cutoff relay and tighten them. => Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

Information

- Use new nuts.

3. Fix line for cutoff relay in place with three tie-wraps.

4. Connect plug connection for cutoff relay until the connector engages securely.

5. Engage plug connection in power distributor housing.
6. Slide cover of power distributor from front to back -arrow A- and press on -arrow B- until the latch locks into place.

- Only for vehicles with auxiliary battery

7. Connect the line for the additional battery to the threaded bolt -arrow A- and secure with the fastening nut -3-.=> Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

8. Close the cover -arrow B- until the lugs -arrows C- engage securely.
9. Position battery ground strap on the body and screw it on tight with the fastening nut -arrow 2-. => Tightening torque: 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)

10. Move the seat in its folded position towards the rear -arrow A- and then tip it forward -arrow B-.

11. Screw in fastening screws -arrows 1-. => Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 ftlb.)
12. Clip in front seat trim -arrow C-.
