Removing And Installing Rear Luggage Compartment Side-trim Panel

Preliminary work

1. Remove rear light cover. Refer to Removing and installing rear light cover.
2. Remove rear luggage-compartment carpet lining at the sides. Refer to Removing and installing trim panel of rear luggage compartment.
3. Remove trim panel for spring strut mount. Refer to Removing and installing trim panel for spring strut mount.

Removing rear luggage compartment side-trim panel







INFORMATION: In order to reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the process must take place at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.

1. Unclip side trim panel for rear luggage compartment -2- in area of lock trim -1- -Arrow A-.







2. Unclip side trim panel for rear luggage compartment -2- completely in -direction of Arrow B-.
3. Check clamps -3-, and replace if necessary.

Installing rear luggage compartment side-trim panel







1. Position side trim panel for rear luggage compartment -2- on the body and press in -Arrows A- until the clamps -3- engage.







2. Clip in side trim panel for rear luggage compartment -2- in area of lock trim -1- -Arrow B-.

Subsequent work

1. Install trim panel for spring strut mount. Refer to Removing and installing trim panel for spring strut mount.
2. Install rear luggage-compartment carpet lining at the sides. Refer to Removing and installing trim panel of rear luggage compartment.
3. Install rear light cover. Refer to Removing and installing rear light cover.
