Removing And Installing C-pillar Trim Panel
Technical values
Removing C-pillar trim panel
Loosening seat belt and fitting
1. Lever off cap -1- with a screwdriver -arrow-.
2. Unscrew fastening screw -2-. Remove washer -3-, seat belt mount -4- and spacer sleeve -5-.
Removing seat belt rose
1. Unclip rose -1- with a plastic wedge -Arrow A-.
2. Pull rose -1- out of seat belt -2- -Arrow B-.
Removing C-pillar trim panel
INFORMATION: Only for vehicles with luggage mesh.
1. Disengage luggage mesh at top and fold to the rear.
2. Unclip cap -1- from C-pillar trim panel -2-.
3. Unscrew fastening screw -1-.
4. Pull out C- pillar trim panel -2- slightly at the top -Arrow A-.
INFORMATION: In order to reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the process must take place at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.
5. Unclip C- pillar trim panel -2- with a plastic wedge and remove in direction of arrow -B, C-.
6. Pull off connector for interior light.
7. Check clamps -2-, and replace if necessary.
Installing C-pillar trim
Installing C-pillar trim panel
1. Push in connector for interior light -1-.
2. Insert C-pillar trim panel -2- in direction of arrow -A, B, C- and press in until the clamps engage.
3. Tighten fastening screw -1-.
4. Clip cap -1- into C-pillar trim panel -2-.
INFORMATION: Only for vehicles with luggage mesh.
5. Fold luggage mesh forwards and engage at the top.
Installing rose for seat belt
1. Pull seat belt -2- through the rose -1- -Arrow A-.
2. Press in the rose -1- until the locking tabs engage -Arrow B-.
Securing seat belt and fitting
INFORMATION: Ensure that belt strap can run properly.
1. Secure fastening screw -2-, washer -3-, seat belt with fitting -4- and spacer sleeve -5- on the body. Tightening torque: 50 Nm (37 ftlb.) ± 10%
2. Press cap -1- onto the fastening screw -2- (-arrow-).
