Removing And Installing Trim Panel For Spring Strut Mount

Preliminary work

1. Remove cover for rear. Refer to Removing and installing cover for rear.
2. Remove C-pillar trim panel. Refer to Removing and installing C-pillar trim panel.

Removing trim panel for spring strut mount







1. Undo fastening screws -1-.







INFORMATION: In order to reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the process must take place at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.

2. Unclip trim panel for spring strut mount -2- first upwards -Arrows A- and then pull out slightly in -direction of Arrow B-.
3. Press locking tabs together -Arrows a- and disconnect connector for loudspeaker -1-.







4. Check fastening nuts -1- and clamps -2, 3-, and replace if necessary.







Installing trim panel for spring strut mounts







1. Push in connector for loudspeaker -1- until the locking tabs engage.







INFORMATION: Make sure that the tie-down rings are not pinched.

2. Insert trim panel for spring strut mount -2- in the side trim panel -Arrows A- and press down until the clamps engage -Arrows B-.







3. Align gap of trim panel for spring strut mount -2- to shelf and tighten fastening screws -1-. Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm (1.0 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. Install C-pillar trim. Refer to Removing and installing C-pillar trim.
2. Install cover for rear. Refer to Removing and installing cover for rear.
