Dynamic Headlight Beam Adjustment

Dynamic headlight beam adjustment (HBA) adapts the range of the headlight beam according to the vehicle load and driving situation. The HBA function is in the front-end control unit for Xenon headlights (I601), and in the cornering light control unit for cornering headlights (I603), and has different actuators in the main headlights.

On vehicles with dynamic cornering lights (M-no. 603 for 997 II as of MY 09), the HBA function will also be controlled by the cornering light control unit. The relevant fault codes will also be entered there. The cornering light control unit is located behind the tool kit in the front luggage compartment.
