LED technology vs. Halogen Lights

The LED tail lights offer the following advantages over halogen lights:
- Response time is 1,000 times shorter
- Better illumination
- Improved active safety thanks to earlier warning of vehicles travelling behind
- More robust design copes better with vibrations
- Considerably longer service life (> 10,000 hours)
- Reduced energy consumption
- Compact design

The technology and design of the lights actively help to improve road safety. While the response time of lights with conventional bulbs is approx. 100 ms, the response time of LED lights is only approx. 0.1 ms. This difference is equivalent to a distance of almost 3 meters when travelling at 100 km/h (60 mph). The improved illuminating power of the LEDs also reinforces the safety effect.

Interior and optional equipment

The technical equipment and design of the interior of the new 911 models has been improved yet again based on the successful previous generation. Here is an overview of the most important new features for optimal operating ergonomics, aesthetics and diverse performance:

- New Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with 6.5" touchscreen color screen
- New, high-quality center console in elegant black, fewer operating buttons (PCM panel), new air conditioner operating panel
- Optimized arrangement of operating buttons in the lower section of the center console, new pictogram for sports exhaust system (optional)
- Standard steering wheels with steering wheel rim in smooth leather with machine-stitched seam, airbag module in soft-touch paint
- New 3-spoke sports and multi-function steering wheel for PDK as well as selector lever in a unique design
