Manual Transmission

The manual transmission for the new 911 Carrera models was adopted from the previous version. Only the 3rd gear transmission ratio was changed. The transmission ratio is now 1.56 (previously 1.65), making it slightly longer.

The clutch bell-housing has been adapted to the new flange structure of the engine. These changes have resulted in new types of transmission.

The rear-wheel-drive 911 Carrera comes with the G 97/05 transmission, while the G 97/35 transmission is used in the Carrera 4.
