Diagnosis information - DME (DFI)

Coolant temperature sensor, loose contact

NOTE: The fault is detected if temperature jumps more than 3 °C (5 °F) occur within a short time with ignition on and engine running.

Diagnostic conditions
- Vehicle voltage more than 9 V
- Intake air temperature more than -30 °C (-22 °F)
- Engine running more than 5 minutes
- No detection of fault P0117 or P0118

Possible fault causes
- Loose contact or corrosion on connectors or lines
- Coolant temperature sensor faulty
