Porsche Traction Management (PTM)

Porsche Traction Management (PTM)

Like in the previous model, the new 911 Turbo also features the active all-wheel drive system Porsche Traction Management (PTM) as standard. This control system has been retuned and offers a further clear improvement in driving dynamics, while retaining proven levels of traction and driving safety.

The new 911 Turbo also has the following basic characteristics required to actively influence the longitudinal and lateral dynamics:

- Permanent all-wheel drive with electronically controlled centre-differential lock for torque distribution between the front and rear axles
- Automatic Brake Differential (ABD) for improved traction
- Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) for slip control during acceleration and improved driving stability

Porsche Traction Management (PTM) enables efficient realisation of the high performance potential and - depending on the driving situation - more driving stability, traction or agile handling. As a result, the vehicle is very agile on narrow country roads, offers exceptional traction and provides a high level of driving safety in the high-speed range.

Customer benefits of Porsche Traction Management (PTM), variable, electronically-controlled all-wheel drive system:

- Excellent agility and further enhanced driving dynamics
- Very good traction and driving stability
- Good control of the vehicle in extreme dynamic driving situations
- Precise straight-ahead driving and excellent stability at high speeds

Other features:

- Further improved traction with Automatic Brake Differential (ABD)
- Further improved vehicle stability during acceleration with Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR)

The following features have been enhanced for the new 911 Turbo:

- The PTM control system has been retuned with a focus on driving dynamics, while retaining proven levels of traction and driving stability
- Extended driving situation recognition and consideration of the driver's wishes
