To further improve dynamic driving properties, the Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) package includes a mechanical rear-axle differential lock. The locking values are 22% for traction and 27% for deceleration.

The mechanical rear-axle differential lock offers the following advantages, particularly in extreme dynamic driving situations:

- Higher traction on changing road surfaces and when cornering
- Improved driving stability in the event of load changes when cornering
- Improved cornering agility at high lateral acceleration
