Transmission Modifications

In order to reliably transmit the higher power and torque values, some of the power transmission elements have been modified in the 911 Turbo. The design of the bevel crown wheel was modified in order to increase the transmittable forces. The transmission housing and clutch flange were reinforced. These modifications increase the component strength. This was necessary due to the higher transmission loads and geometrical adaptations of the final drive.

The 3rd to 6th gears feature a double carbon synchronizer, whereby the use of carbon improves load capacity and shift comfort. The modifications are supplemented with reinforced drive shafts at the rear axle.
