Oil pressure too low

NOTE:
- The engine oil pressure is set by the oil pressure-regulating valve.
- The oil pressure depends on:
- Oil temperature
- Engine speed

- If the oil pressure is below a defined range for longer than 3 seconds, a fault is detected.
- The red warning message [Oil pressure too low] is displayed in the instrument cluster

INFORMATION Technical Information 29/10 (in repair group 1703) must be observed in case of vehicles that have been stationary for an extended period (more than 150 days).

Diagnostic conditions
- Engine running
- No fault P0521, P0522 or P0523 entered

Possible fault causes
- Oil pressure too low
(oil level, oil thinning, oil pump, dirt in oil circuit, oil circuit faulty, etc.)
