Preliminary work

1. Remove rear light cover, left and right. -> 709419 Removing and installing rear light cover - section on "Removing"

Information

- To reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the removal steps must be carried out at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.

1. Partly unclip side trim panels for rear luggage compartment -1- in area of cover for rear lock carrier -2- -Arrow A-.

2. Unclip cover for rear lock carrier -2- -Arrow B-.
3. Check clamps -3- , and replace if necessary.

Installation position of cover for lock carrier

1. Position cover for rear lock carrier -2- on the body and press in until the clamps -3- engage -Arrow A-.

2. Clip in side trim panels for rear luggage compartment -1- in area of cover for rear lock carrier -2- -Arrow B-.
3. Lift up rubber seal for rear lid -1- using a plastic wedge -2- along cover for rear lock carrier -3-.

1. Install rear light cover, left and right. -> 709419 Removing and installing rear light cover - section on "Installing"
