Removing And Installing Cover For Rear Underbody

Preliminary work

Lift the vehicle. Refer to Lifting the vehicle.

Removing cover for rear underbody







INFORMATION: Fastening nuts cannot be used again following removal.

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and fastening nuts -2, 4-.







2. Pull cover for rear underbody -3- out of the overlap.

Removing support for underbody cover







1. Unscrew fastening nut -1- and remove support -2-.







2. Check support -2- and fastening nut -3- and replace if necessary.

Installing cover for rear underbody

Installing support for underbody cover







1. Position support -2- for underbody cover and tighten with the fastening nut -1-. Tightening torque, Tightening torque: 7 ftlb.±0.5 ftlb.







Installing underbody cover







INFORMATION: When pushing in the underbody cover, make sure the overlap is correct.

1. Insert cover for rear underbody -3-.







2. Tighten fastening screws -1-. Tightening torque, Final tightening: 1.5 ftlb.±0.5 ftlb.
3. Tighten fastening nuts -2-. Tightening torque, Final tightening: 1 ftlb.±0.5 ftlb.
4. Tighten fastening nuts -4-. Tightening torque, Final tightening: 3.5 ftlb.±0.5 ftlb.

Subsequent work

Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting the vehicle.
