Preliminary work

-> 6101IN IN -Hood service position Procedures
1. Press out the push rod
1.1. Press ball socket -6- of push rod from ball head of main folding top bow.

2. Press left and right push rod springs -8- out of the ball head on the drive lever.

3. Unscrew the fastening screw -1- on the lever -2- and remove the cover -3- and lever -2- from the hood mechanism -4-.

4. Unclip clip -6- on the flexible shaft -5- and remove the shaft from the drive motor -7-.

1. Unscrew fastening nuts -9-. Remove hood mechanism -10- from the studs -11-.

1. Unscrew studs -12- from the body.

Installing studs

1. Screw studs -12- into the body and tighten them.

Installing hood mechanism

1. Position hood mechanism -10- on the studs -11- and secure with the fastening nuts -9-. => Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. -> 610115 Adjusting cabriolet hood - section on "Adjusting" Adjustments
2. Engage push rod.
2.1. Press ball socket -6- of push rod onto ball head of main folding top bow.

3. Press left and right push rod springs -8- into the ball head on the drive lever.

4. End service position.
5. Function check:
Open and close the hood using the rocker switch if necessary. -> 610115 Adjusting cabriolet hood Adjustments.
