Move convertible top to service position. -> 6101IN IN - convertible top service position Procedures

Removing motor for drive mechanism





Installation position of motor for convertible top operation

1. Release -arrows a- and remove connector.

2. Loosen lock washers -1- and lift up and out -arrows A-.

3. Remove pliable shafts -2- from the motor for convertible top operation and lay them aside -arrows B-.
4. Loosen the three fastening nuts -3- and remove motor for convertible top operation by pulling it forwards -arrow C-.

Installing motor for drive mechanism

1. Insert motor for convertible top operation into the studs -arrow A-.

2. Secure motor for convertible top operation with the three fastening nuts -1-. => Tightening torque: 3.5 ftlb.
3. Adjust convertible top gear. -> 617205 Adjusting convertible top gear - section on "Adjusting" Adjustments 617219 Removing and installing convertible top gear - as of production date 02.02.2006
4. Insert pliable shafts -2- into the motor for convertible top operation -arrows B- and secure with lock washers -3- ( -arrows C- ).
5. Push connector onto motor for convertible top operation until it clicks into place.

Move convertible top out of service position.
