Preliminary work

Remove front right wheel housing liner (part A). -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

Removing switching element for filler flap





Overview of switching element for filler flap

1. Release -arrow a- and pull off plug.





Disconnecting switching element connector

2. Loosen both fastening screws -1- and remove switching element for the filler flap from the support.

3. Disengage switching element for filler flap from emergency operation cable.

Installing switching element for filler flap

1. Engage switching element for filler flap into the emergency operation cable.

2. Insert switching element for filler flap into the slots on the holder. Ensure that the locking bolt of the filler flap switching element is positioned in the opening of the side section.

3. Secure the filler flap switching element with the two fastening screws -1-.
4. Insert the connector until it is felt to engage.

5. Check operation of the filler flap switching element.
