Preliminary work
DANGER
Vehicle can fall down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Risk of damage to the vehicle
-> Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
-> Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
-> Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
-> Raise the vehicle only at the take-up points provided.
-> The outer take-up points should be used primarily.
1. Raise the vehicle.
-> 4X00IN01 Lifting the vehicle Service and Repair
2. Place protective covers on the vehicle to avoid damaging the body.
3. Remove right front wheel.
Use the special tool socket-wrench insert P300 for removing the front wheel to avoid damaging the rim.

4. Remove rear part of front right wheel housing liner.

Removing filler neck

Highly inflammable or explosive materials
- Danger of fire or explosion
-> Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
-> Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.
-> Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
1. Place a warning sign in a clearly visible position in the work area or on the vehicle.

2. Remove the tank tray.
2.1. Open the tank cap.
2.2. Disconnect overflow hose for tank tray -3- and set it aside.
2.3. Unclip the locking lugs on the tank tray -arrows- and pull out the tank tray -1-.
2.4. Pull off the ground strap -2-.

3. Remove the holder.
3.1. Loosen internal Torx screw (T27, M6 x 20) -4- for the body (in the wheel arch).
3.2. Unscrew two hexagon-head bolts (M6 x 20) -5- on the filler neck holder.

4. Remove filler neck -2-.
4.1. Mask the wing in the area of the tank cap using adhesive tape -1- to prevent damage to the paintwork and body.
4.2. Open cap on the filler neck and remove.
4.3. Twist filler neck gently to the right and left and carefully pull out through the opening in the tank cap.
4.4. Replace seal at filler neck.

Information
Replace seal at filler neck.
1. Coat filler neck lightly with new engine oil in the assembly area in front of the seal.
2. Install filler neck -2-.
2.1. Coat filler neck lightly with new engine oil in the assembly area in front of the seal.
2.2. Coat seal lightly with Kluber Syntheso Glep (Porsche part number 000.043.204.68).
2.3. Insert filler neck into the tank opening. Then turn the filler neck to the left and right and position it in the installation position.

3. Install the holder.
3.1. Fit and tighten internal Torx screw (T27, M6 x 20) -4- for the body (in the wheel arch).
=> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
3.2. Fit and tighten two hexagon-head bolts (M6 x 20) -5- on the filler neck holder.
=> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

4. Install the tank tray.
4.1. Fit and clip in the tank tray -1- ( -arrows- ).
4.2. Connect the ground strap -2-.
4.3. Connect overflow hose -3- to the tank tray.

5. Close the cap securely (audible click).
Subsequent work
1. Pull off adhesive tape on wing.
2. Install wheel housing liner.

3. Install front wheel.
Use special tool socket-wrench insert P300 to install the front wheel.

4. Remove protective covers on vehicle.
5. Remove warning sign.
