Preliminary work

CAUTION

Hot components

- Risk of burns

-> Let hot components cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

1. Allow engine to cool down.
2. Place protective covers on the vehicle to avoid damaging the body and passenger compartment.
3. Remove engine compartment lid.

Removing oil pressure switch

Information

- The oil pressure switch measures the oil pressure and oil temperature.

1. Remove oil pressure switch -1-.





Oil pressure switch

1.1. Unplug cable plug -2- from oil pressure switch.
1.2. Remove two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 20) -3- and remove oil pressure switch.
1.3. Replace O-ring.

Installing oil pressure switch

1. Replace O-ring on oil pressure switch.
Grease new O-ring lightly with Kluber Syntheso Glep (Porsche part number 000.043.204.68).
2. Install oil pressure switch -1-.





Oil pressure switch

2.1. Insert oil pressure switch, fit and tighten two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 20) -3-.
=> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
2.2. Connect cable plug -2-.

Subsequent work

1. Start the engine and inspect the oil pressure switch for leaks.
2. Install engine compartment lid.

3. Remove protective covers from vehicle.
