Intake camshaft adjustment

NOTE: Fault P0011 is only entered if there is a difference of between 5 and 14 camshaft degrees in the actual value compared with the nominal value within a period of between two and five seconds.

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage 10 ... 16 V
- Time after engine starts > 10 seconds
- Engine oil temperature between -10 °C and 105 °C (14 °F and 221 °F)
- Engine temperature between -20 °C and 115 °C (-4 °F and 239 °F)
- Engine speed between 520 rpm and 6,400 rpm

Possible fault causes
- Dirt in the oil circuit
- Sealing strips on intake camshaft adjuster
- Oil pressure too low
- Mechanical fault in intake camshaft adjuster
- Solenoid hydraulic valve faulty
