Crankshaft position in relation to exhaust camshaft

NOTE: Fault >>P0017 - below limit value/above limit value<< is set if the specified adjustment range (+/-12 °) is not observed.

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Time after engine starts > 10 seconds

Possible fault causes
- The data record does not match the vehicle equipment
(>System designation< ...44E4... is incorrect)
- Timing set incorrectly
- Chain extended
- Camshaft sensor loose
- Rotor of exhaust camshaft sensor in incorrect position
- Exhaust camshaft sensor not installed correctly
