Intake air temperature sensor: electric fault
NOTE:
- The intake air temperature sensor is integrated into the hot-film mass air flow sensor.
- The hot-film mass air flow sensor must not be removed, but only interchanged complete with tubular piece.
Diagnostic conditions
- Time after engine starts > 4 minutes
- Engine idling for at least 10 sec.
Possible fault causes
- Open circuit in the signal line
- Open circuit in ground line
- Short circuit to B+ in ground line
- Intake air temperature sensor faulty (short circuit)
Affected contacts on the DFI control unit connector
Connector [B]:
- Contact 13
Affected contacts on the hot-film mass air flow sensor connector (naturally aspirated engine)
