Diagnosis information - DME V6 DFI

Oxygen sensor behind cat. conv., bank 1

NOTE: Do not use contact spray on the oxygen sensor's plug connections as this will result in irreparable damage to the lines (blockage of reference air duct).

NOTE: Do not interchange the oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter with the sensor behind the catalytic converter as this will result in implausible fault entries.

NOTE: If the control unit connector [B] is disconnected from the DFI during fault finding or if the power supply is interrupted elsewhere (battery, fuse), teaching of the throttle valve adjusting unit must be performed.

NOTE: If the ignition is switched on with the connector [B] disconnected from the DFI control unit, the fault >DFI control unit Timeout< may be entered.

Diagnostic conditions
- Exhaust temperature between 350 °C (662 °F) and 800 °C (1,472 °F)
- Battery positive voltage between 11 V and 16 V
- Engine idling for 3,000 seconds after start
- Coolant temperature between 40 °C and 60 °C (104 °F and 140 °F)
- No secondary air
- No secondary air diagnosis
- No tank ventilation
- No tank ventilation diagnosis
- No other faults stored
