Diagnosis information - DME V6 DFI

Camshaft sensor 1

NOTE: >No signal< occurs when the DFI expects a signal from the camshaft hall sender, but this is absent because of damage to the camshaft rotor (phase sensor).

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on (FC P0341, P0342, P0343)
- Engine speed < 2,520 rpm (FC P0344)
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- No other hall sender faults (FC P0341, P0342, P0343)

Possible fault causes
- Open circuit in wiring harness
- Short circuit to ground
- Short circuit to B+
- Camshaft sensor faulty
- Camshaft rotor (phase sensor wheel) damaged

Affected contacts on the DFI control unit connector
Connector [A]:
- Contact 44, bank 1
- Contact 26, bank 1
- Contact 14, bank 1
