Diagnosis information - DME V6 DFI

Cruise control operating lever

NOTE:
- The signals are sent from the steering column switch module to the DME (DFI) control unit via the CAN Drive.
- The fault code is entered in the DME control unit (DFI) if the steering column switch module has detected an internal fault.
- The cruise control is not operational.

NOTE:
The line DME control unit connector B contact 18 and steering column switch module connector
A contact 5 is routed via the plug connection KE contact 3

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Ignition switched on

Possible fault causes
- Open circuit in the signal line
- Short circuit to ground in signal line
- Short circuit to B+ in signal line
- Steering column switch module faulty

Affected contacts on the DFI control unit connector B
- Contact 18

Affected contacts on the steering column switch module connector A
- Contact 5
