Diagnostic information - DME V6 DFI

Transmission fault

NOTE: The information is supplied via CAN. The DFI control unit activates the Check Engine light only >>on behalf of the Tiptronic control unit<<.

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Engine running

Possible fault causes
- Fault memory entry in Tiptronic control unit as a result of transmission fault (See INFORMATION)

INFORMATION
Different fault healing strategies in the engine and transmission control units can lead to the situation in which the original transmission fault no longer exists in the transmission fault memory (healed) but the note (P0700) nevertheless remains entered in the engine control unit (not yet healed).
