Driver for positive crankcase ventilation heater

NOTE: The line diagnostics in the DFI control unit also runs when the positive crankcase ventilation heater is switched off (i.e. over 3 °C (37 °F) outside air temperature).

NOTE: The positive crankcase ventilation heater is continuously activated when a fault is present in recording the outside air temperature.

Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Time after engine starts > 1 seconds

Possible fault causes
- Short circuit to B+
- Short circuit to ground
- Open circuit in line
- Fuse FE 50 faulty (fuse carrier on left of dashboard)
- Positive crankcase ventilation heater faulty
