P2247
P2247Diagnosis information - DME V6 DFI
Oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter, bank 2
NOTE: Do not use contact spray on the oxygen sensor's plug connections as this will result in irreparable damage to the lines (blockage of reference air duct).
NOTE: Do not interchange the oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter with the sensor behind the catalytic converter as this will result in implausible fault entries.
Diagnostic conditions
- No fault P1155 stored
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
- Time after engine starts > 10 minutes
- Lambda control active
- Constant driving for at least one minute on a level road surface, without load shifts or gear changes
- Speed range between 70 km/h (43 mph) and 120 km/h (75 mph)
Diagnostic conditions - V6
- Time after engine starts > 10 seconds
- Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
Possible fault causes
- Nernst voltage line short circuit to ground
- Oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter faulty (internal short circuit or inter-core short circuit)
Affected contacts on the DFI control unit connector
