Preliminary work

1. Switch ignition off and remove ignition key
2. Remove design cover on bar ignition modules on both sides. -> 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover) on DFI engines - section on "Removing"

1. Release and disconnect cable plugs => Cable plugs for bar ignition modules. Remove screws from bar ignition modules. => Fastening screw on bar ignition module

2. Remove bar ignition modules. => Bar ignition module

Installing bar ignition modules (up to October 2008)

1. Fit screws on the bar ignition modules => Fastening screws on bar ignition modules. Fit cable plugs. => Cable plugs for bar ignition modules => Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. Re-fit design cover for bar ignition modules. -> 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover) on DFI engines - section on "Installing"
