Removing and Installing Trim Panel For Luggage Compartment (Load space Cover) At the Sides

Technical values







Preliminary work

1. Remove centre trim panel for luggage compartment (load space cover).
2. Remove cover for rear lock support.
3. Remove sun blind.
4. Remove rear part of C-pillar trim.

Removing trim panel for luggage compartment (load space cover) at the sides







INFORMATION: Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.







1. Unscrew fastening screws for side trim panel for rear luggage compartment.
2. Disconnect plug connections.
2.1. Disconnect plug connection for plug socket (if fitted).
2.2. Disconnect plug connection for luggage compartment light.
2.3. Disconnect plug connection for trailer hitch switch (if fitted).







3. Detach side trim panel for luggage compartment and fold it forward.







4. Remove lashing point.
4.1. Open the lashing point -A- .
4.2. Unscrew fastening screws -B- .







5. Unclip luggage compartment cover at the sides.

1. Check that rubber supports are fitted and check condition. Replace if necessary.







2. Install luggage compartment cover at the sides.
2.1. Place luggage compartment cover in installation position.
2.2. Clip in luggage compartment cover at the inside -A- and outside -B- .







3. Install lashing point.
3.1. Fit lashing point and screw in fastening screws
- Tightening torque: 9.7 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)±1 Nm (± 0.5 ftlb.) ( -A- ).

3.2. Close the lashing point -B- .

4. Connect plug connections.
4.1. Connect plug connection for plug socket (if fitted).
4.2. Fit plug connection for luggage compartment light.
4.3. Connect plug connection for trailer hitch switch (if fitted).







5. Fold back side trim panel for luggage compartment.







6. Screw in fastening screws on side trim panel for rear luggage compartment
- Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm (1 ftlb.).

Subsequent work

1. Install centre trim panel for luggage compartment (load space cover).
2. Install cover for rear lock support.
3. Install rear part of C-pillar trim.
4. Install sun blind.
