Removing control unit for distance measuring sensor





Installation position

1. Switch off ignition and remove the remote control from the ignition lock.
2. Remove cover on sensor.

2.1. Release cover twice at the top -arrow-.
2.2. Fold cover forwards and detach at the bottom holder.
3. Release two electric plug connections -a- and disconnect connector from control unit for distance measuring sensor.

4. Unscrew the two fastening screws -1- from holder of control unit for distance measuring sensor.

5. Twist holder together with control unit for distance measuring sensor, release cable clip -2- and remove the electric line.

6. Remove holder together with control unit for distance measuring sensor.

Installing control unit for distance measuring sensor

1. Position holder together with control unit for distance measuring sensor.
2. Place electric line into cable clip -2- and clip together.

3. Position holder on bumper and secure using the two fastening screws -1-.

4. Press in the electric plug until it clicks into place.
5. Fit cover for distance measuring sensor.

Subsequent work after removing and installing control unit for distance measuring sensor

If the control unit for the distance measuring sensor was removed and installed or replaced, the control unit for the distance measuring sensor will need to be readjusted on a measuring platform using adjustment tool VAS 6430. -> 278515 Adjusting control unit for distance measuring sensor 278515 Adjusting control unit for distance measuring sensor.
