Replacing Light Bulb For Direction Indicator Light

Preliminary work

Preliminary work for front direction indicator light
1. Remove front section of front wheel housing liner.
2. Remove auxiliary headlights.

Removing light bulb for direction indicator light

NOTE:
Incorrect handling of bulbs
- Risk of damage to bulbs and the bulb housing
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
- Switch off the relevant loads when changing bulbs.
- Only use bulbs listed in the bulb table.
- Only install clean bulbs that are free of grease.
- Always use a cloth or soft paper when working with bulbs.
- Observe the safety instructions when changing a bulb in a Bi-Xenon headlight.
- In certain states, it is compulsory to carry spare light bulbs.

INFORMATION: Each auxiliary headlight contains two light bulbs for the respective front direction indicator.

1. Open the cover on the back of the auxiliary headlight. Turn in the correct direction (see marking on cover).







2. Carefully release clip on light bulb socket -A- using a screwdriver.







3. Release light bulb socket by turning it (bayonet lock) and remove it from the auxiliary headlight.







4. Disconnect plug-in contacts from the light bulb socket using a small screwdriver.

1. Insert plug-in contacts into the light bulb socket.







2. Insert light bulb socket into the auxiliary headlight and turn to lock it (bayonet lock) until the clip -A- engages audibly on the light bulb socket.












3. Position cover on the back of the auxiliary headlight and lock it. Turn in the correct direction (see marking on cover).

1. Install auxiliary headlights.
2. Install front section of front wheel housing liner.
