Replacing sealing ring for Porsche Double Clutch (PDK)





Preliminary work for sealing ring for Porsche Double Clutch (PDK)

Information
* The transmission must not be placed on the oil pan.
* Put a piece of wood under the transmission bell housing and support the transmission on the transmission mount and the piece of wood.





Supporting transmission

1. Remove transmission.

Removing sealing ring for Porsche Double Clutch (PDK)

1. Remove sealing ring for Porsche Double Clutch using slide hammer kit Nr.168 or extractor tool T20143.





Example: Removing sealing ring

Installing new sealing ring for Porsche Double Clutch (PDK)

1. Assembly tool 9829 must be fitted.





Press-in tool for radial shaft seal

1.1. Insert screw -5-.
1.2. Slide on sleeve -4-.
1.3. Slide radial shaft seal over the sleeve -4-.
1.4. Insert outer guide sleeve -3-.
1.5. Insert inner guide sleeve -2-.
1.6. Screw on nut -1-.

Information
The nut -1- on the assembly fixture 9829 must remain tightened for approx. 1 minute to allow the seal to settle.

2. Fit sealing ring using assembly tool 9829 by screwing on the nut -1- and countering at the screw -5-.
3. Assembly tool 9829 must now be removed.
4. Check installation position of sealing ring.

Installation position: Flush with the cover on PDK transmission

Subsequent work for sealing ring for Porsche Double Clutch (PDK)

1. Install transmission.
2. Check ATF.
