Adjusting Front Door Window

Preliminary work

Preliminary work (parallel positioning)

1. Remove front door sub-frame.
2. Remove front window regulator motor.

Adjusting front door window (parallel positioning)

1. Unscrew fastening screw for door window glass.







2. Align the catches for the door window mounting.
2.1. Roll the door window up fully.
2.2. Align the door window until it is parallel with the B-pillar trim and corner window pane -A- .
2.3. Check that the catches are adjusted without tension and re-adjust them if necessary -B- .







3. Screw in fastening screw -1-
- Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.).

Subsequent work (parallel positioning)

INFORMATION:
- The door window in the door in question must be closed in order to install the door sub-frame.
- Close the window manually before installing the window regulator motor.

1. Install front window regulator motor.
2. Install front door sub-frame.

Adjusting front door window (final stop)







1. Check the end position at the top.
1.1. Close the door window fully.
1.2. Mark the lower edge of the window guide at several places on the window.
1.3. Open the door window approx. 5 cm.
1.4. Measure the distance from the markings to the upper edge of the window.

2. Adjust the end position.
2.1. Roll the door window down fully.







2.2. Raise out the window channel seal -5- and additional seal for the door window -4- ( -A- ) until you can reach the adjusting screw -3- .
2.3. Guide in Allen key -B- .







2.4. Adjust the difference from the measured dimension -> 1.4. and nominal value
- Adjustment value: 7 mm at the end-stop adjusting screw -3- .
2.5. Remove markings on the door window glass.
2.6. Close the door window and check the end position again.
