Preliminary work

Remove front window lifter (cable). -> 64521901 Removing and installing front window lifter (cable) - section on "Removing"

Removing front window lifter (guide rail)





Installation position of front window lifter

1. Drill out rivets -2- at the bottom and centre fastening points on the guide rail -1- using a 4-mm drill bit.

2. Drill out rivets -2 and 3- at the top fastening point on the guide rail -1- using a 4-mm drill bit.

3. Remove guide rail -1- from the door sub-frame -arrow-.

Installing front window lifter (guide rail)

1. Install guide rail.
1.1. Remove remaining pieces of rivets using a wet and dry vacuum cleaner NT 561 Eco WE 1231.
1.2. Place guide rail -1- in installation position -arrow- on the door sub-frame.
1.3. Fit complete guide rail -1- in place using new rivets -2 and 3-.
1.4. Rivet in the guide rail -1- at the top fastening point using new rivets -2 and 3-.

2. Rivet in the guide rail -1- at the bottom and centre fastening points using new rivets -2-.

Subsequent work

Install front window lifter (cable). -> 64521901 Removing and installing front window lifter (cable) - section on "Installing"
