Preliminary work

1. If a new control unit has to be installed, the values and codings must be read out using the 2nd generation PIWIS Tester 9818 prior to removing the "old" PDK control unit. -> 373055 Replacing transmission control unit (PDK) 373055 Replacing transmission control unit (PDK).

Installation position

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

-> Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

1. Release, open and disengage the retaining bar -a-.

2. Press locking lugs on the PDK control unit to the side and unclip the PDK control unit out of the holder.
3. Release -a- , open -A- and pull off -B- the connector.

Installing transmission control unit (PDK)

1. Push electric connector onto the PDK control unit and lock connector.
2. Insert PDK control unit into the holder and secure using the retaining bar.

Subsequent work for transmission control unit (PDK)

1. Install cover. -> 701919 Removing and installing trim panel under dashboard - section on "Installing" 701919 Removing and installing trim panel under dashboard.
2. If the control unit was replaced, the control unit must be adapted to the vehicle using the 2nd generation PIWIS Tester 9818. -> 373055 Replacing transmission control unit (PDK) 373055 Replacing transmission control unit (PDK).
